OCC Christmas Shoeboxes:

Christmas Shoeboxes and brochures are now available from the narthex. We have been advised that all the boxes will go through to Sydney this year for final packing. The closing date for collection will be 9th October.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

The Chairman asks we all assist in ensuring after use of our buildings that lights are turned off, doors locked where applicable and water at basins, sinks etc is turned off. This has come about after the water was found running in the Hall toilet basin on Wednesday night after an undetermined amount of time. As issues are noticed please advise Gayle at the Office or contact the Chairman.

Prayers for the Week:

· For those in authority, such as Queen Elizabeth and her representatives; Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors; that they may not turn their backs on the needs of the third world

· For the Church, LCAQD; that it would continue the work of Jesus in seeking out and saving those who have lost their way

· For the pastors Bishop Paul smith, District Bishop Mark Vainikka; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors; that they may preach the word of God

· For all those children have been baptised, but whose parents have not fulfilled their vows, that the Spirit of God would guide them home to his people

· For those who have become 'lost' in the world: those who are homeless, addicted, unemployed, uneducated, sick, or rejected in any way

· For those who travel, that they may return home safely

· For young people who live on the streets

· For those who blaspheme God's name, and persecute his followers, that they may be enlightened with faith in Christ

· For all members of our congregation who have ceased to gather with us for worship, that we may seek them out and invite them to return
