Shine a light into the lives of families facing hunger and poverty in the world’s most at risk communities. ALWS Gifts of Grace catalogues are now available.

HFT - Holiday Fun Time 2023:

2023 is fast approaching and so is Holiday Fun Time. If you are interested in being involved/organising in HFT please contact church office or James Kessler.


Karingal Memorial Service:

Karingal Aged Care invites you to a time of reflecting and honouring of past residents on Sunday 27th November at 6pm followed by light refreshments. More info on noticeboard.


Accommodation needed:

Maddison Callaghan (11 years old), from Chinchilla has received a 50% tuition “Buckholz” scholarship to attend Concordia College. Her family (mum Tamykka and brother Archie) are looking for accommodation – preferably close to Concordia beginning January 2023. If anyone owns or knows of a place that could accommodate this family of 3, please make contact with Luke Boshammer on 0413960056 or email: lukewenbosh@bigpond.com.


Bible Story-Telling on the Downs:

In a 4-day workshop at Tara, on South-East Queensland’s Darling Downs, you will:

  • Discover how to take a Bible text and craft a Bible story that is clear, memorable and gripping while still being accurate to the text.

  • Learn to facilitate a Bible discussion using a story.

  • Learn how to teach others a Bible story that you have crafted.

This workshop will take place in four sessions:

  • Thursday 17 Nov: 6:45 pm to 9 pm

  • Friday 18 Nov: 8:30 am to 5 pm

  • Saturday 19 Nov: 8:30 am to 5 pm

  • Sunday 20 Nov: 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided from Friday to Sunday.

Prayers for the Week:

· For those in authority, such as King Charles and his representatives; Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors; that they may not turn their backs on the needs of the third world

· For the Church, LCAQD; that it may not be led astray by false messiahs

· For the pastors Bishop Paul Smith, District Bishop Mark Vainikka; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors; and parents and teachers who handed on to us the tradition of the Christian faith

· For the nations, that they may not go to war against one another but live in peace

· For volunteers, that they may not grow weary of their service

· For all workers, that their work may give them meaning in life and contribute to the welfare of our society

· For those who do not want to work for a living, and for those who want to work but cannot find employment

· For those who are persecuted, imprisoned or tortured for their beliefs

· For all Christians, that they may watch for the return of Christ

· For those who are victims of earthquakes, famine, plagues and other natural disasters
