LCANZ Local Mission Annual Appeal:

The Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand’s Local Mission team have launched their annual appeal. Your support of this fundraising appeal enables you to support mission fields, in sharing the good news of God’s amazing love. Envelopes available on the table in the narthex.

Country in the Afternoon:

The Chinchilla Church of Christ has organised an “afternoon in the country” with artist Brendon Walmsley, with all proceeds going to Dalby Eva’s Place to support outreach in Chinchilla.

Prayers for the Week:

· For those in authority, such as King Charles and his representatives; Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors; that they may not turn their backs on the needs of the third world

· For the Church, LCAQD; that it would continue the work of Jesus in seeking out and saving those who have lost their way

· For the pastors Bishop Paul Smith, District Bishop Mark Vainikka; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors; that they may fight the good fight of the faith

· For those who in this present age are rich, that they may not be proud or set their hopes on the uncertainty of earthly wealth

· For those whose poverty is neglected, that God would see and provide justice for them

· For those who are dying, that they may take to heart God's word in the Scriptures

· For all Christians, that they may do good and be rich in good works
