Easter is the most sacred of Christian holidays and celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. The Season of Easter begins with Easter Sunday, which is observed on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox. It lasts for seven weeks, until the Festival of Pentecost.

LCAQD Lenten Appeal:
By donating to this year’s LCAQD Lenten Appeal you will be supporting Hospital Chaplaincy (which receives no government funding in QLD) and Mary & Martha’s Domestic Violence Refuge. Envelopes available in the narthex.
Donations for Exterior Painting of St Mark’s Church Plant:
Our church building has now been painted. The quoted price for the entire church plant (excluding the manse) is $75 000. We are seeking donations/pledges to continue this work and cover the cost of painting the hall and Sunday School rooms later in the year.

that that the light of Christ would shine in the church, so that all may see it and be drawn to faith in God

that the light of Christ would shine into the darkness of despair, to lift up all who are grieving, lonely, suffering, or without hope
that the light of Christ would shine into the darkness of human hearts, wherever deeds of greed, oppression and injustice are being planned
that the light of Christ would shine in the darkness of the tomb, and that all who have died in Christ may rise to life again
