Kairos Prison Ministry

Justin Toomey and Murray Paschke are doing Kairos Prison Ministry in the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre in Brisbane from the 22nd - 26th March. One way our congregation can be involved is to pray for the Kairos Team who will go into the prison to talk and minister to the inmates or residents as Kairos calls them. The Kairos Team also let the inmates know who is praying for them so if you would like to let them know who you are that are praying for them please let Justin or Murray know so that you can be added to our prayer list. This list will then be made into an actual paper chain that is put up during the Kairos Ministry week in the room where the inmates and Kairos team meet. To know more about Kairos Prison Ministry please go to kairos.org.au

Prayers for the Week

· For those in authority, such as Queen Elizabeth and her representatives; Prime Minister Scott Morrison and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors; that they may act wisely

· For the Church, LCAQD;

· For the pastors Bishop John Henderson, District Bishop Paul Smith; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors; that those who spread the gospel would receive encouragement from God

· That all those who hear God's word would repent and believe

· That those who are afraid of God's anger would find his mercy in Jesus

· That those trapped in cycles of addiction or violence or crime might know the freedom that repentance brings

· For those near death, whose appointed time has grown short
