LCA Story of the Week:

Walk My Way is back for 2022 and already having an impact on the lives of children living as refugees. ALWS hopes to raise enough to support 10,000 children to go to school through its walking challenge again this year.

ALC Annual Appeal:

Envelopes are available from the table in the narthex for the Australian Lutheran College’s annual appeal. LCANZ does not provide full financial support to the College from its churchwide budget so we hope to raise enough funds to cover a $225 00 reduction in our 2022 LCANZ funding.


LYQ Winter Camps:

Winter Kids Camp is a beautiful mix of learning about God, spending time outdoors and enjoying games with friends …. lots of good clean fun and laughter! Every morning we’ll spend time in worship and learning about God and then in the afternoons we’ll take advantage of the wide-open spaces at camp to play some epic games!

Dates: 27 June – 1 July 2022

Location: Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum

Price: $365 for the first 30 campers, $405 standard pricing. Registrations are now open!


CLW:

CLW (Christian Life Week) is a five-day camp for high school aged campers that is centred on an unforgettable experience of faith, fun and friendship. This winter we’re offering 4 CLW camps, two in the first week and two in the second week of the school holidays. CLW is a life-changing week filled with daily worship and study time, epic wide games and life-long friends, led by an inspirational bunch of Christian leaders.

Dates: WEEK 1 - 27 June – 1 July 2022 – WEEK 2 – 4 – 8 July

Location: Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum and Koojarewon Youth Camp, Highfields

· For those in authority, such as Queen Elizabeth and her representatives; Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors; for the nations of the world, that they may receive the blessing of peace

· For the Church, LCAQD; that the light of Christ would shine in the church, so that all may see it and be drawn to faith in God

· For the pastors Bishop Paul smith, District Bishop Mark Vainikka; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors; that they may exercise the ministry of forgiveness with compassion

· For those who are spiritually ill

· For those who are victims of evil

· For our neighbouring countries, especially New Zealand (or Australia), Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and the Pacific Islands

· For the Jewish people

· For those who are outcasts in society
