LYQ Winter Camps:

Winter Kids Camp is a beautiful mix of learning about God, spending time outdoors and enjoying games with friends …. lots of good clean fun and laughter! Every morning we’ll spend time in worship and learning about God and then in the afternoons we’ll take advantage of the wide-open spaces at camp to play some epic games!

Dates: 27 June – 1 July 2022

Location: Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum

Price: $365 for the first 30 campers, $405 standard pricing. Registrations are now open!

LCA Story of the Week:

It was with much joy and excitement that members of

Outer Eastern Lutheran Church and Doncaster–Ivanhoe

congregations came together for the installation of one

of their members, Ed Blow, into word and sacrament ministry.


CLW:

CLW (Christian Life Week) is a five-day camp for high school aged campers that is centred on an unforgettable experience of faith, fun and friendship. This winter we’re offering 4 CLW camps, two in the first week and two in the second week of the school holidays. CLW is a life-changing week filled with daily worship and study time, epic wide games and life-long friends, led by an inspirational bunch of Christian leaders.

Dates: WEEK 1 - 27 June – 1 July 2022 – WEEK 2 – 4 – 8 July

Location: Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum and Koojarewon Youth Camp, Highfields

Prayers for the Week:

· For those in authority, such as Queen Elizabeth and her representatives; Prime Minister Scott Morrison and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors; for the nations of the world, that they may receive the blessing of peace

· For the Church, LCAQD; that the light of Christ would shine in the church, so that all may see it and be drawn to faith in God

· For the pastors Bishop Paul smith, District Bishop Mark Vainikka; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors; that they may exercise the ministry of forgiveness with compassion

· For unity of the whole church of God, that the world may believe

· For the unity of the Lutheran Church of Australia and its congregations

· For those who have washed their robes in the waters of baptism

· For all Christians, that they may live in the knowledge that Christ will come with his reward, to repay all according their deeds

· For prison workers and those in charge of corrective services, and for all prisoners

· For those caught up in witchcraft, spiritualism, and other false beliefs and practices

· For all who put their hope in fortune-tellers, that they may trust in God alone
