Grow Cluster
LET’S GROW TOGETHER - All members of St Mark’s are invited to join with the Grow groups from Dalby and Chinchilla for our next part of our Grow journey where we’ll be exploring Life Long Faith Formation!
Coaches Rachel Schilling and Vicki Rochow from Grow Ministries will guide us through a session where we look at the importance of forming faith not just with children, families and youth, but why this is imperative to continue throughout our whole lives – through all the ages. So we’ll dive into looking at generations, and the faith formation of different ages and begin to unfold gaps and start planning for opportunities. This day will be held on Saturday 14th November from 8.45am – 3pm at St Mark’s Hall Dalby. Due to COVID restrictions, please register your attendance with Gayle in St Mark’s office.
BYO morning tea and lunch and beverages. There is a reading you are invited to read before the day – it’s a little too big to email – but please contact Gayle if you’d like a copy and she can arrange to print one for you. If you want to know more about the Grow journey check our this update https://www.stmarksdalby.com.au/post/grow-journey-what-s-it-all-about or this video update https://youtu.be/W6-UhoK24nI We hope to have people of all generations join us for this exciting learning day!
Mission Outreach Grant - It is with great delight, that the LCAQD Department of Mission and Ministry announces that the 2020 LLL Mission Outreach Grant has been awarded to Dalby Lutheran Congregation for their creative approach to outreach with young people in their region and to assist in making connections to the local congregation.
LCA Story of the Week
Like many churches, Mawson Lakes Community Church in Adelaide’s north has undergone dramatic shifts in its ministries during COVID-19. But rather than looking to return to ‘normal’, members are embracing sustainable change. For Pastor Chris Mann that attitude is biblically based: ‘Every time there’s a crisis, God wants people to embrace something new.’
Gift of Grace
COVID has kept us apart for too long. This Christmas, more than ever before, we need to find ways to connect with those we care about. Our own friends and families. Families in the world’s poorest countries, forgotten and threatened by poverty, conflict and COVID-19. That’s where ALWS Gifts of Grace is the answer! Available from church office
Budget & Elections meeting will be held on Sunday 29th November. Reports are needed by 10 November.
Happy Birthday this week to:
Gabriella Heintze, Darren Weier, Hunter James, Julie McEwan;
Baptism Anniversaries
Sonya McVeigh, Max Boshammer, David Schreiber, Peter Schreiber;
If we missed your birthday or baptism anniversary, please contact Gayle at St Mark's office.
